How do I set up Dialing and Recording with Toktumi VoIP

Instructions to set-up VanillaSoft dialing with Toktumi VoIP phone lines:

  1. Install the Toktumi Softphone
  2. Sign into VanillaSoft as a caller in Internet Explorer
  3. Go to your user profile page by clicking on your username in the upper-right hand corner.
  4. Go to Test Controls and you should be prompted to install add-ons and active x controls.  Install these controls until they stop popping up.
  5. Make sure to “Always Allow Pop-ups from this site”
  6. Click on Tools
  7. Click on Internet Options
  8. Click on Security then Trusted Sites
  9. In the “Add this website to the zone:” box put in https://* and click add . If the box has that entry already just click on add.
  10. Click Close.
  11. Click on Custom Level and scroll down until you see “Initialize and script ActiveX controls safe for scripting”.  Click on Enable.
  12. Scroll down to Display Mixed Content - click on Enable.
  13. Click on OK, then on Apply and then on OK again.
  14. Refresh the screen and install anything it prompts you too.
  15. Go back to the contact page and then to the Profile page.
  16. For Line Type select the SIP option and select Toktumi from menu.

Continue for instructions to set-up VanillaSoft recording with Toktumi VoIP phone lines:

  1. Select “Custom” for the recording path
  2. Open up the Toktumi phone and click on “Settings” and then on “Preferences”
  3. Put a check in the box beside “Record calls.”
  4. Take note of the path where the files are being stored and click “Save”
  5. Go back to VanillaSoft and put the Toktumi Recording path into the VanillaSoft recording path box so they match.  Click “Save”
