For your security purposes, VS Connect softphone can only be active on one computer by default. Once you log in to a computer successfully, your VS Connect login will lock to that computer and won't allow any other locations to log in to your profile. If you attempt to log in and receive a "Device Activation Limit Reached" error, this is because your login is locked to a different computer and will need to be released. Follow the steps below to release your VS Connect profile.

Release VS Connect Device as an Admin
- Log in to VanillaSoft as an Admin.
- Select Users from the menu at the top.
- Enter the Username of the User you wish to release the VoIP line for then hit Enter.
- Click on the Username of the User you wish to release the VoIP line for.
- Select Release VS Connect Softphone in the Dialing Information section.
- Click Confirm on the Release VS Connect Softphone popup.
You, or the User experiencing this error, should now be able to log in to VS Connect on this computer. If issues persist, please Contact Technical Support for further investigation.
Release VS Connect Device as a Caller
- Log in to VanillaSoft as a Caller.
- Click on your Username in the top-right corner.
- Go into the Dialing Info section from the left-hand pane.
- Select Release VS Connect Softphone.
- Click Confirm on the Release VS Connect Softphone popup.
You should now be able to log in to VS Connect on this computer. If you are still experiencing issues, please Contact Technical Support for further investigation.
