If you have SMS as part of your package, yet you don't see the icon beside a phone number, there could be a couple different reasons for this. The SMS icon should look like this:
SMS Not Enabled
It is possible to have SMS included in your package but it has not been enabled on your account. To see if SMS is enabled on your account:
- While logged in to VanillaSoft, click your username in the top-right corner.
- From the left-pane, click on Dialing Info.
- Verify that the SMS Enabled checkbox is checked.
If this is not checked, you will need to reach out to your Account Administrator to have them enable it for you.
SMS is Enabled but No Icon Beside Number
If you have verified that SMS is enabled for your account, but you still don't see an SMS icon beside the contact's number, this is most likely caused by the number field not being configured to receive SMS. If this is the case, your Admin will have to go into the project settings and enable SMS for this number field. This is not something that can be done from the Caller side.
