Attachments for Contacts is a great way to include any necessary documentation or files to ensure you stay as organized and informed as possible. There are two ways to add an attachment to a Contact, on the Admin side or from the Caller side. As an Admin, if you would like Callers to be able to add or view Attachments, you must add the Attachments tab into one of the Panels.

Adding Attachments as an Admin
- Log in to VanillaSoft as an Admin.
- Select the desired Project.
- Under Contacts & Reports, click on Search Contacts.
- Type in the search criteria for the Contact you wish to view, then click the Search button.
- Select the desired Contact by clicking on Open Contact.
- To add an Attachment, click on the Attachments tab.
- Click Add Attachment.
- If it is in your Document Library, select the file, then click the right arrow.
- Or, if the file is on your computer, click Choose File, select your file, then click Open.
- Or, if the file is on your computer, click Choose File, select your file, then click Open.
- Once the desired file is selected, click Attach.
- There will be a message confirming the documents have been attached. Click Finish.
Adding Attachments as a Caller
- Log in to VanillaSoft as a Caller.
- Type in the search criteria for the Contact you wish to view, then click the Search button.
- Select the desired Contact by clicking on Open Contact.
- Click the Contact drop-down, then select Attach Document.
- Alternatively, if the Contact has attachments, click the Attachments tab, then click Add Attachment.
- Alternatively, if the Contact has attachments, click the Attachments tab, then click Add Attachment.
- If it is in your Document library, select the file, then click the right arrow.
- Or, if the file is on your computer, click Choose File, select your file, then click Open.
- Or, if the file is on your computer, click Choose File, select your file, then click Open.
- Once the desired file is selected, click on Attach.
- There will be a message confirming the documents have been attached. Click Finish.
Add Attachments to the Panel Layout
- Log in to VanillaSoft as an Admin.
- Select the desired Project.
- Open the Page Layout menu, and select the Panel Layout section.
- Click on the Available Tabs drop-down, then select Attachments.
- Click on the Panel drop-down, then select the desired Panel number.
- Click Add.
- When done, click on Save.
