You must have Account Admin access to add a new user since these changes will affect your monthly bill. To Add a User
- Log in to VanillaSoft as an Account Admin.
- Select Users from the menu at the top.
- Click Add User at the top of the User list.
- Fill out each field in the User Profile section.
- Note: You can expand the Show Additional Fields section if more information is needed.
- Note: The username must be a valid email address. This email address will be used to log in and for all system notifications.
- Note: If enabled in the Account Profile, the user will receive a welcome email on this email address with their login information.
- If the user needs permission to configure their email account, check the Allow the user to access Email Account checkbox under the Email Account section.
- Under User Localization Settings, open the Time Zone drop-down menu, then select the User's Time Zone.
- Under the Options Section, select the desired User Type and the desired checkbox(es) in the Options section.
- Note: More information on Account Types can be found in our Account Types in VanillaSoft article.
- Select the User's appropriate VS VoIP Line option.
- Once done, click Save.
The new User can now log in to VanillaSoft using the Username entered as both the username and password. If you have created a VanillaSoft VoIP line for this User, VS Connect login and setup information is emailed to the User using the emailed address listed in the Email field.
