When importing records into custom tables, the system will attempt to match a unique field in your import file with an existing contact in the system. When a unique match is found,the import record will be added to the contact's custom table. If more than one match are found, the information will not be added.
To import data into a custom table:
- Log in as admin
- Select project
- Select Import Contacts
- Browse for your file
- Select from the Import Method drop down Import Custom Table Data
- Click next
- Select the Custom Table to import into
- Select the fields to use to match the data to existing contact
- Check the box for Add New Contacts if not already in VanillaSoft, if desired
- Click Next
- Map the information you want to add, and leave all the rest of the information to ---Field not mapped---
- Click on Start Import
