As an Administrator, you can use Contact Management to batch update Contacts in a variety of different ways, including flagging leads into the queue, unflagging them out of the queue, as well as moving Contacts into another team and assigning Contacts to a User or Team.
Note: Updating Contacts is NOT reversible. All updates using Contact Management are permanent.
How to Update Contacts Using a Query
- Log in to VanillaSoft as an Admin.
- Select the desired Project.
- Under Contacts & Reports, click on Contact Management.
- If you want to build your Query from scratch, click Build a New Query.
- If you have a saved Query, click Select This Query, then Edit This Query.
- If you have a saved Query, click Select This Query, then Edit This Query.
- Select a field, then click the right arrow for each field you wish to view in your Query.
- Set the Filter and Value for each desired Field as needed.
- Once each Field has the Filters and Values set as desired, click Run Query.
- When the Query Results page populates, click Perform Task.
- Note: If your query returns no results, click the Edit Query button to modify its filters and values.
- Click on Update Contacts.
- Check the box next to the Field(s) you want to update, then enter the Value to be applied.
- If you want to remove a Value from a Field, check the checkbox and leave the Field blank.
- If you want to remove a Value from a Field, check the checkbox and leave the Field blank.
- Once done, click on Update.
- Click Ok at the prompt to confirm the change.
- The Query Results page will display how many contacts have been updated until completion.
- Note: After the contacts have been updated, you will see the Query Results page.
