Setting the right dialing profile in VanillaSoft can significantly boost your calling efficiency. You can choose from Progressive, Preview, or set your profile to Project Default, based on your specific needs. It’s important to note that for either Progressive or Preview mode to be available and function correctly, "Auto-Dialing" must be enabled in the user’s profile under the VoIP Line Configuration section.
Understanding: Progressive vs. Preview
Progressive Mode:
Progressive mode automates the calling process by dialing the next assigned contact automatically. This helps reduce the time between calls, allowing you to connect with more contacts more efficiently. Note that you will need to manually end each call in this mode.
Preview Mode:
In Preview mode, you have control over when to initiate the call by clicking the phone icon next to the contact’s number. This setting allows you to review detailed information about the contact, ensuring you are well-prepared before starting the conversation.
Project Default:
Setting your dialing mode to Project Default means your calls will adhere to the default settings specified in the project’s Dialing & Recording configuration. This could be either Progressive or Preview, depending on the project-wide setting.
For an Entire Project, as an Admin

Access Project Settings: From the Admin homepage, select the desired Project.

Navigate to Dialing Settings: Open the Dialing & Recording menu, then select Dialing & Recording.

Set the Dialing Mode: Choose either Progressive or Preview from the Dialing drop-down menu.

Save Changes: Click Save to apply the new settings.
For a Specific User, as an Admin

Find the User: From the Admin homepage, open the Users section and use the Search function or scroll to find the specific user.

Access the Configuration Section: Click on the VoIP Line Configuration tab.

Configure Dialing Preferences: Select either Project Default, Progressive, or Preview from the Dialing drop-down menu.

Save the Configuration: Click Save to finalize the settings.
For Yourself, as an Admin or Caller

Access VoIP Settings: From the Caller homepage, click your username in the top-right corner.

Select VoIP Line Configuration: Open the VoIP Line Configuration section from the left menu.

Choose Dialing Mode: From the Dialing drop-down, select Project Default, Progressive, or Preview as preferred.

Implement Changes: Click Save to apply your selection.
After Configuring
Once the settings are saved, they will be effective from the next contact routed to you. There's usually no need to log out, but if changes don't seem to apply, try logging out and back into both VanillaSoft and VS Connect as a troubleshooting measure.
