The Panel Layout page in VanillaSoft allows you to configure the default layout for the caller screen, including the maximum number of panels and the position of tabs within these panels. Understanding the different types of tabs and how to customize their arrangement helps optimize the caller interface for efficiency.
Types of Tabs
-
Standard Tabs: These include custom field tabs, the script tab, the email tab, the attachment tab, and the comments tab. The email and attachment tabs only appear when there is an email or attachment for the contact. Standard tabs cannot be removed but can be repositioned across the panels.
-
Contact WebLink Tabs: Custom fields defined as a web link data type generate a tab that can be separately placed or removed from the panels.
-
Optional Tabs: VanillaSoft provides these for specific pre-defined functions, such as the Map tab and the CMV HUD tab. The availability of these tabs depends on the features you have.
-
Fixed Web Link Tabs: These tabs are created with pre-defined URLs and can be placed in any panel. They always access the URL defined during their creation.
