The Proximity for Appointment Setting feature allows appointment setters to see nearby appointments based on the contact they are scheduling. This helps optimize scheduling by identifying geographically close appointments, reducing travel time, and improving appointment efficiency.
Steps to Set Up Proximity for Appointment Setting Calendars

Select the Project: From the Admin homepage, select the project where you want to enable proximity scheduling.

Access Appointment Settings: Open the Workflow/Routing menu, select the Appointment Setting sub-menu, and click Appointment Setting.

Set the Proximity Distance: In the section labeled “Highlight calendar appointments within [ ] miles of the current contact based on Zip/Postal code,” enter the desired distance in miles.

Save Your Changes: Once you've entered the distance, click Save.
Usage Notes
When viewing the calendar, all appointments within the specified proximity will be marked with a location icon .
- To see the exact distance in miles between appointments and contacts, hover over the location icon .

- Availability: This feature is available only for users in projects with the dialing country set to the US/Canada.
- Accuracy: Proximity calculations are based on Zip/Postal Codes, and accuracy may vary depending on the region’s Zip/Postal Code coverage. The database is updated quarterly.
- Zip Code Changes: Hundreds of US Zip Codes change annually. For the most accurate and up-to-date Zip Code information, consult the USPS Zip Code Lookup.
