Google or Outlook 365 Calendar Not Syncing With VanillaSoft

If you find your VanillaSoft or Google/Outlook 365 calendar is missing appointments, either are taking a long time to update, or are just having general issues with the synchronization between your calendars, you may need  to re-establish the synchronization. Removing then re-establish the synchronization fixes most issues related to a loss of communication between your calendars.

Step 1 - Remove Synchronization

The first step would be to remove the current synchronization. This will remove any connection between the 2 calendars, including the events from one calendar to the other. These events will be restored in the second step listed below. Brief instructions on how to do this are as follows:

  1. Go to your Calendar Integration section in your profile.
  2. Click the Remove Google Authorization or Remove Outlook Authorization button.
  3. Click Confirm to remove the synchronization

For detailed instructions on this process, follow the steps listed in our Remove Calendar Synchronization article.

Step 2 - Re-Establish Synchronization

The second and final step would be to re-establish the synchronization between your two calendars. This will establish a new synchronization, and should enter all existing and future events back into both calendars. Brief instructions on how to do this are as follows:

  1. Go to your Calendar Integration section in your profile.
  2. Select the Calendar Provider to synchronize, either Google or Outlook.
  3. Follow the steps from the Calendar Integration wizard.

For detailed instructions on this process, follow the steps listed in our Synchronize VanillaSoft Calendar with Google or Outlook 365 article.
