Enabling Call Recording
Before we explore how to listen to call recordings, ensure that the Call Recording feature is enabled. If not, check out our How to Enable/Setup Call Recording article for step-by-step instructions.
As an Admin: Run a Call Recording Query
- Log in to VanillaSoft as an Admin.
- Navigate to the desired project containing the contact(s) you wish to review.
- Click the Dialing & Recording tab, then enter the Audio Review section.
- Input your search criteria and click Search.
- Choose to delete, download, play, or open the contact and display call information.
As an Admin: Listen to a Call Recording
- Log in to VanillaSoft as an Admin.
- Navigate to the desired project containing the contact(s) you wish to review.
- Click on the Contacts & Reports tab, then enter the Search Contacts section.
- Input your search criteria and click Search.
- Click the Open Contact icon to bring up the contact information page.
- Open the Audio Review tab.
- Choose to delete, download, play, or open the contact and display call information.
As a Caller: Listen to a Call Recording
- From the contact information page, click on Edit.
- Open the Audio Review tab from the left-hand menu.
- Narrow your results by entering any search criteria, selecting Search to show the results.
- Choose to download or play the recorded call.
Note: If you don't see the Audio Review tab, ask your Admin to enable this feature for your profile or check the Page Layout settings.
Using the VanillaSoft VoIP Portal
- Login to your VanillaSoft VoIP portal.
- Open the Feature category in the left-hand pane, then select the Call Recordings section.
- Input your search criteria and click Search.
- Choose to delete, download, or play the recording(s).

Troubleshooting: No Call Recording Available
