How to Set Up SMS Notifications

Stay connected wherever you go with SMS notifications from your VanillaSoft VoIP line. This feature allows you to receive immediate notifications on your cell phone whenever you get a text message through VanillaSoft, ensuring you never miss an important message.

Steps to Enable SMS Notifications

1. Log In to VanillaSoft VoIP Portal: Access your VanillaSoft VoIP portal by logging in with your credentials.

2. Access Notifications Settings: Navigate to the Features category in the left-hand menu and select Notifications.

3. Add New Notification: Click the + Add New button to create a new notification setting.

4. Select Notification Type: In the Notification Type list, check the Text Message Notification checkbox. You can select multiple notification types if needed, but additional details might be required for each.

5. Enter Your Phone Number: Enter the destination phone number in the Text Number field where you want to receive the notifications.

6. Save Your Settings: Click Save to activate your SMS notifications.

Important Considerations

• Responding to Messages: If you wish to reply to a message, remember to do so from within VanillaSoft or the Vanilla VoIP portal. Replying directly from your cell phone's SMS application will display your personal phone number, not your VanillaSoft VoIP number.
