Incorrect Username or Password
If you receive an "Incorrect user name or password" error, you'll need to verify the credentials you are using. Follow the steps below to ensure you have the correct username and password.
VS Connect Credentials if you do not use an Extension
In the image above, the VoIP number that is assigned is 248-434-5508. Therefore the following credentials would be needed:
Username: 12484345508@vanillasoft.com
Password: 12484345508
VS Connect Credentials if you use an Extension
If there was an extension assigned to the VoIP number, ext 123 for instance, the following credentials would be needed:
Username: 12484345508.123@vanillasoft.com
Password: 12484345508.123
How To Find Your VoIP Number
If you're not sure what your VoIP number is, you can find out by following these steps:
- Log in to Vanillasoft.
- Click on your username in the top-right corner.
- Go into the Dialing Info section.
- View what number is listed in the ConnectMeVoice Number field (shown below).
This will be the number that is assigned to you and that you will use as your VS Connect credentials.
Device Activation Limit Reached
If you receive a "Device Activation Limit Reached" error, follow the steps in our Device Activation Limit Reached article to resolve this issue.
License Key Error
If you receive a license error, you will see a box that has "License Key Management" at the top. If you get this error, you will need to contact our Technical Support department by one of the methods listed in our Contact Technical Support article.
