When you receive a call to your VanillaSoft VoIP line, the caller may here a message of "This call may be recorded for quality control purposes" before the call connects. You do have the option to disable this setting and allow for incoming calls to start ringing right away without playing any recorded message first. There are 2 settings that would cause this message. Follow the steps below to disable each setting.
Step 1 - Change Setting for VoIP Profile
- Log in to your VoIP portal account.
- From the left-hand pane, open the Call Routing sub-menu.
- Select the Call Setting section.
- Scroll to the bottom and select Play Rings Only in the What The Caller Hears section.
- Once done, click Save. You can now call your VoIP number to test if it worked.
Step 2 - If Recording is Still Preset
- Log in to your VoIP portal account.
- From the left-hand pane, open the Administration sub-menu.
- Select the Administrative section.
- Go into the Call Recording tab listed at the top.
- Uncheck the Play Announcement checkbox.
- Once done, click Save.
Now that these settings have been changed, when someone calls you, all they will hear is ringing instead of a recording.
