Personalizing your VanillaSoft VoIP account with custom greetings can enhance your professional image and provide a consistent experience for callers. This guide will walk you through uploading your own pre-recorded greetings for various purposes. Before starting, ensure that your recordings are in either .wav or .mp3 file format.
Steps to Upload a VoIP Mailbox Greeting

Log In to Your VanillaSoft VoIP Portal: Access your account by logging into the VanillaSoft VoIP portal.

Access Greetings Settings: From the left-hand menu, select Features and then click on the Greetings section.

Add or Update Greetings: Click on + Add / Update Greetings at the top of the mailbox greetings list.

Select Greeting Type: Open the Greeting Type drop-down menu and choose the type of greeting you want to upload. The options include:
- Voicemail Greeting: Plays when a call routes to voicemail.
- After Hours: Activates when the extension is in after-hours or night mode.
- Name Greeting: Plays the extension name to a caller.
- Custom Routing Greeting: Plays right before a call gets routed.
- Hold Music: Plays when a call is put on hold or transferred.

Locate and Select the File: Click on Browse to locate the audio file on your computer that you wish to upload.

Upload the File: Select the desired file and confirm the upload.

Save the Configuration: Click Save to finalize the setup of your greeting.

Multiple Greeting Types: To add more than one type of greeting, repeat steps 3 through 7 for each new greeting type you wish to upload. Note that you can only have one recording per greeting type.
