Adding an SMS Tab to Your Caller's Page

Add an SMS tab to your Caller's page layout to make sending and receiving SMS messages easier and quicker. When the SMS tab is present, Callers can send and receive SMS messages directly from the Contact's page instead of navigating off the page to do so. 

Note: If the SMS panel is added but is not present on the Contact's page, this is most likely due to there being no SMS history for this Contact. Once a message has been sent or received, the SMS panel will appear. 

 

Add SMS Panel

  1. Log in to VanillaSoft as an Admin.

  2. Select the desired Project.

  3. Open the Page Layout menu, and select the Panel Layout section.

  4. Open the Available Tabs drop-down, and select SMS.

  5. Open the panel drop-down and select the desired panel.

  6. Click Add.

  7. Once done, click Save.

Once you save the changes, the Callers may need to refresh their page or log out and back in for the changes to take effect.
