Character Limits in VanillaSoft

Below is a list of the character limits within VanillaSoft. Each section has a different limit so please refer to the chart below as needed.

Note: These limits are in reference to the source code of the text, not how many characters there are. Below shows a couple examples showing what this means. The same text is used but the second example has a bit of formatting.

 

Plain Text

To achieve a text that looks like this:

Your source code would look like this (31 characters):

Formatted Text

For the same script, but including a bit of formatting, to achieve a text that looks like this:

Your source code would look like this (279 characters):

As you can see, the more formatting you have, the less text the script will be able to have. Formatting can make a drastic difference.

  • Last Name - 50
  • Lead Source - 100
  • Lead Source Email - 250
  • Middle Name - 50
  • Other Info (Custom) fields - 800
  • Phone Ext - 15
  • Phone Number - 10
  • Prefix - 50
  • Script - 20,000
  • State - 50
  • Suffix - 50
  • Title - 50
  • Zip Code - 10
