Changing a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Verification Phone Number

If you need to update the phone number used for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in your VanillaSoft account, follow these steps:

Change a User's MFA Phone Number as an Admin

  1. Log in as an Administrator: Access your VanillaSoft account with administrative rights.
  2. Navigate to Users: From the top menu, go to the Users section. You may need to use the search feature to find the specific username.
  3. Select User: Click on the username of the user whose phone number you want to change.
  4. Change MFA Phone Number: Click on ‘Change MFA Phone Number’.
  5. Setup New Phone Number: Click the Setup New Phone Number button on the confirmation window.
  6. Enter Phone Number: Input the new phone number where you can receive an SMS code.
  7. Send Verification Code: Click "Send Me A Code" to receive a verification code via text message.
  8. Enter Verification Code: Input the verification code you received. The screen will automatically refresh once the code is confirmed, and the new phone number will be added to the user's profile.
