How to Enable an SMS Number and Assign It to a User
SMS numbers in Vanillasoft VoIP allow users to send and receive text messages directly from their assigned number. Enabling an SMS number and assigning it to a user ensures text messaging is available for day-to-day communication with contacts.
Enable and Assign an SMS Number
Log in to the Vanillasoft VoIP portal.
- Note: This portal may display Cloudli branding because it is hosted by Cloudli. All configuration and support are handled by Vanillasoft. For assistance, contact Vanillasoft Support.
Open the Telephony menu from the main navigation.
Select SMS Number.
Click New to add a new SMS number.
Open the Telephone number drop-down and select the phone number you want SMS messaging to enable for.
Select the user you want to assign the SMS number to.
When finished, click Save to apply the SMS number, or click Save and Continue to save your changes and assign another SMS number.
Once saved, the assigned user can begin sending and receiving SMS messages using the selected number. The SMS number is now active and ready for use within Vanillasoft VoIP.
