Disable "This Call May Be Recorded" Message
When a call is directed to your VanillaSoft VoIP line, the caller may encounter a pre-call notification stating, 'This call may be recorded for quality control purposes' before the connection is established. However, you can deactivate this feature, enabling incoming calls to initiate ringing immediately and bypassing pre-recorded messages. Please follow the steps below to disable this setting and customize your call-handling preferences.
Disable the 'Play Announcement' Feature
- Begin by logging into your VoIP portal account.
- Navigate to the Features menu on the left-hand side of the screen, and opt for Call Recordings section.
- Locate and click on the Settings tab within the Call Recordings section.
- In the Settings menu, open the Extensions To Update drop-down list and choose Individual.
- Identify the extension for which you wish to modify settings, and uncheck the Play Announcement checkbox associated with it.
