Delete Contacts Using a Contact Management Query

As an Administrator, you can use Contact Management to batch-delete Contacts from your project. It is highly recommended to export your queried Contacts into a CSV file before deleting them from VanillaSoft.

Note: Once you delete Contacts from VanillaSoft, they cannot be recovered. All deletions using Contact Management are permanent.

How to Delete Contacts Using a Query

1. Log in to VanillaSoft as an Admin.

2. Select the desired Project.
   
   

   ---

3. Under Contacts & Reports, click on Contact Management.
   
   

   ---

4. If you want to build your Query from scratch, click Build a New Query.
   
   
   • Alternatively, if you have a saved Query, click Select This Query, then Edit This Query.

5. Add any Fields that you wish to view in your Query.
   
   

   ---

6. Set the Filter and Value for each desired Field as needed.
   
   

   ---

7. Once each Field has the Filters and Values set as desired, click Run Query.
   
   

   ---

8. The query will then display the Query Results.
   
   

   ---

9. Click on Perform Task and then Delete Contacts.
   
   

   ---

10. You will then be prompted twice to confirm the deletion of the Contacts. Click Confirm. 
    
    

    ---

11. Click Confirm again on the second prompt to complete the deletion.
    
    

    ---

12. When done, the system will display how many Contacts were deleted.
