Delete Contacts Using a Contact Management Query
As an Administrator, you can use Contact Management to batch-delete Contacts from your project. It is highly recommended to export your queried Contacts into a CSV file before deleting them from VanillaSoft.
Note: Once you delete Contacts from VanillaSoft, they cannot be recovered. All deletions using Contact Management are permanent.
How to Delete Contacts Using a Query
- Log in to VanillaSoft as an Admin.
- Select the desired Project.
- Under Contacts & Reports, click on Contact Management.
- If you want to build your Query from scratch, click Build a New Query.
- Alternatively, if you have a saved Query, click Select This Query, then Edit This Query.
- Alternatively, if you have a saved Query, click Select This Query, then Edit This Query.
- Add any Fields that you wish to view in your Query.
- Set the Filter and Value for each desired Field as needed.
- Once each Field has the Filters and Values set as desired, click Run Query.
- The query will then display the Query Results.
- Click on Perform Task and then Delete Contacts.
- You will then be prompted twice to confirm the deletion of the Contacts. Click Confirm.
- Click Confirm again on the second prompt to complete the deletion.
- When done, the system will display how many Contacts were deleted.
