Callers in VanillaSoft can schedule an appointment for Contacts using a Result Code configured to set appointments. Result Codes can only be configured to set appointments if Appointment Setting is enabled. If Appointment Setting is already enabled, but no Result Codes are configured to schedule an appointment, follow the steps in the Create a Result Code to Schedule an Appointment article.

Enable Appointment Setting
- Log into VanillaSoft as an Admin.
- Select the desired Project.
- Open the Workflow/Routing menu, then the Appointment Setting submenu, and select the Appointment Setting section.
- Check the Appointment Setting Enabled box.
- Once done, click Save.
VanillaSoft will display a warning if no Users or External Agents have been made available for Appointment Setting.
If you already have Users or External Agents available for Appointment Setting, follow the steps in the Create a Result Code to Schedule an Appointment article to create your Result Code. If there are no Users or External Agents configured, continue to follow the steps below.
Assign Users and External Agents to Schedule Appointments
- Log into VanillaSoft as an Admin.
- Select the desired Project.
- Open the Workflow/Routing menu, then the Appointment Setting submenu, and select the Appointment Setting section.
- Under Assign Users/External Agents section, select the desired User or External Agent.
- Click the right-arrow to move the username into the Appointments to be set for list.
- Each time a username is moved from one list to another, VanillaSoft will save automatically.
