In VanillaSoft, the calendar is designed to help you manage your time efficiently by using a color-coded system to visually distinguish between different types of items at a glance. This makes it easier to prioritize your tasks and ensures that you can quickly identify what’s coming up on your schedule without needing to open each individual entry.
Here are the default color codes used in the VanillaSoft calendar:
Callbacks are marked in blue, allowing you to easily spot the follow-up tasks that need your attention. These typically represent instances where you’ve committed to reach back out to a contact at a specific time.
Appointments are displayed in green, providing a clear indication of meetings or other scheduled events. This can include client meetings, internal discussions, or any other time-blocked activities that require dedicated attention.
Events appear in red to highlight important, non-call-related activities. These might include deadlines, reminders, or other significant occurrences that are crucial but don’t involve direct contact with a client.
Orange: Synced Calendar Items (Google or Outlook)
If your VanillaSoft calendar is synced with an external calendar, such as Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook, those items will be shown in orange. This makes it simple to see which entries come from your integrated calendar tools, ensuring a seamless connection between your various scheduling platforms.
While these colors are set by default, understanding how to use them effectively can significantly enhance how you manage your day-to-day tasks within VanillaSoft.
