If your profile is set to Progressive dialing, when you select a Result Code, the next best contact will be routed and called automatically. There is no way to pause or delay this. 

The only way to change this would be to change your dialing setting to Preview. This will require you to click the phone icon  in order to dial the contact. Steps on how to change your dialing preference can be found in our Configuring Progressive or Preview Dialing article.
