Set VS Connect as Default Dialer

Set VS Connect as a default program for faster and easier dialing within VanillaSoft. Follow this guide to configure your default programs for either Windows 7 or Windows 10.

Set Default Device for Windows 7

  1. Open your Windows Start menu.

  2. Select the Control Panel section.

  3. Click to open Programs.

  4. Select Default Programs.

  5. Click on Set your default programs.

  6. Scroll down your program list and select VS Connect.

  7. Select Choose defaults for this program.

  8. Place a check in the Select All checkbox.

  9. Once done, click Save.

Once the above steps have been completed, you may need to clear your browser's cache in order for the changes to take effect. For instructions on how to do this, refer to the Step 2 - Clear Browser's Cache section from our VanillaSoft is Slow, Freezes, or Fails To Load article. 

 

Set Default Device for Windows 10

  1. Open your Windows Start menu.

  2. Select the Settings section

  3. Click to open Apps.

  4. From the left-hand menu, select Default apps.

  5. Scroll down and select Set defaults by app.

  6. Scroll down your program list and find VS Connect.

  7. Select VS Connect then click the Manage button.

  8. Select Choose a default if any are displayed.

  9. From the Choose an app window, select VS Connect.

  10. Repeat steps 8 and 9 until all 3 options are showing VS Connect.
