Resolving "You have not been assigned to a Project" Error
If you encounter the error "You have not been assigned to a Project" upon logging into VanillaSoft, there are two solutions to resolve this issue:
Option 1: For Callers
- Switch Teams or Projects: Try switching to a different team or project by opening the Select A Project drop-down and selecting a different team or project.
- Admin Intervention Required: If the list is empty or you're unable to switch (the list won't open), an Admin will need to modify your profile from the Admin side of VanillaSoft.
Option 2: For Admins
- Access Users: From the admin homepage, click on Users from the top-left corner of your page.
- Find the User: Locate the user who needs to be assigned to a project.
- Select Project: In the Project/Team Access section, select the desired project(s) you'd like to grant access to.
- Specify Team (Optional): If you wish to specify the team as well, select this in the Team Access column.
- Save Changes: Click Save to apply the changes.
Note: VanillaSoft technical support agents cannot make this change to your profile. This adjustment needs to be made by your Admin.
After these changes, the user will need to either refresh their page or log out and back in for the changes to take effect. If you wish to allow the user to switch between teams and projects, refer to the steps in the Allow or Prevent Project and Team Switching Ability article.
