Automatic Email and SMS by Result Code

A great feature that VanillaSoft offers is what's called Result-Code Based Emails & SMS. This feature allows you to send either an email, an SMS message, or both automatically simply by selecting a Result Code. This drastically reduces the amount of work needed and increases efficiency. To set this up, you will need to have Administrator access.

Note: To use this feature, you must use email or SMS templates that have already been created. To learn how to create these templates, view our How To Create an Email Template and How To Create an SMS Template articles.

To Setup Automatic Email and SMS

1. Log in to VanillaSoft as an Admin.

2. Select the desired Project.
   
   

   ---

3. Open the Email, SMS & Docs menu, and select the Result-Code Based Emails & SMS section.
   
   

   ---

4. Open the Email Template drop-down and select the desired email template.
   
   
   • This step is optional.

   ---

5. Open the SMS Template drop-down and select the desired SMS template.
   
   
   • This step is optional.

   ---

6. Once done, click Save.
   

Once this process is complete, the Contact will get either an email, an SMS, or both when a Caller selects the configured Result Code.
