Test an Email Template before Use

While creating an Email Template, you have the ability to test how it will look by sending it to yourself before making it live to Callers. If you are not familiar with creating an Email Template, follow our How To Create an Email Template article.

 

Test an Email Template

  1. Log in to VanillaSoft as an Admin.

  2. Select the desired Project.

  3. Open the Email, SMS & Docs menu and select the Email Templates section.

  4. Open the Email Template you would like to test.
    • For an existing template, open the Email Template list drop-down and select an existing template

    • For a new template, click Add to begin creating a new template

  5. Once you're ready to test, click Send Test Email located in the HTML Body section.

An email will be sent to the email address listed in the Email field of your profile. The test email will not include any CC, BCC, or Contact Variables. However, when this template is used on a Contact, these will be included at that time.
