Connect Your US Health Advisors Email with VanillaSoft

For US Health Advisors (USHA) agents using VanillaSoft, setting up your email account is crucial for effective communication. This guide will walk you through the process of configuring your @ushadvisors.com email address within VanillaSoft using SMTP settings.

Understanding SMTP

SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is essential for email communication, allowing you to send, receive, and relay outgoing mail. The SMTP server verifies that outgoing emails come from active accounts and returns undelivered emails to the sender with an explanation.

SMTP Server Settings for USHA

  • Host/Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.ushadvisors.com
  • Account Name/Username: firstname.lastname
  • Password: Your US Health Advisors email password
  • Port: 25
  • Use SSL: Unchecked/disabled

Additional Notes

  • Email Sending: When sending an email, the 'From' address will be the email address listed in your Email field in your User Profile. Replies will be directed to this email address and not stored in VanillaSoft.

Setting Up Email Accounts in VanillaSoft

For Admins: Configuring Another User's Accounts

  1. Access Users: From the Admin homepage, click on Users from the top menu.
  2. Select User: Locate and open the profile of the user you want to configure.
  3. Connect with SMTP: In the Email Account section, select Connect with SMTP. You may need to click "+ More options" to see this option.
  4. Enter Account Details: In the SMTP Connection popup, input the user’s Account Name/Username (their email address) and Password.
  5. Enter SMTP Details: Enter the Host, Encryption Method, and Port as per the SMTP Server Settings listed above.
  6. Finalize: Click Connect. A confirmation message will appear once the configuration is successful.

For Admins: Setting Up Your Own Email Account

  1. Access Profile: Click your username in the top-right corner from any page.
  2. Connect with SMTP: In the Email Account section, select Connect with SMTP. Expand the section by clicking "+ More options" if necessary.
  3. Enter Account Details: In the SMTP Connection popup, input your Account Name/Username (your email address) and Password.
  4. Enter SMTP Details: Enter the Host, Encryption Method, and Port as per the SMTP Server Settings listed above.
  5. Finalize: Click Connect. You will receive a confirmation message once successfully configured.

For Callers: Configuring Your Email Account

  1. Access Email Settings: Click on your username in the top-right corner of any page and navigate to the My Email Account section from the left menu.
  2. Connect with SMTP: In the My Email Account section, select Connect with SMTP. Expand the section by clicking "+ More options" if necessary.
  3. Enter Account Details: In the SMTP Connection popup, input your Account Name/Username (your email address) and Password.
  4. Enter SMTP Details: Enter the Host, Encryption Method, and Port as per the SMTP Server Settings listed above.
  5. Finalize: Click Connect and wait for the confirmation message indicating a successful configuration.
