How To Assign a User to a Project and Team
As a Caller, if you log in to VanillaSoft and are presented with the message "You have not been assigned to a Project," you have a couple of options to access the Contact queue. If you have Switching permission, you can switch to the desired Project or Team by following the steps listed in our How To Switch Projects or Teams article. If you do not have permission to do so, your Admin would need to follow the steps listed in our Allow or Prevent Project and Team Switching Ability article if desired.
As an Admin, you have the ability to assign a User to a specific Project and Team. Follow the steps below to assign each desired User to a Project and Team. If you want to allow or prevent Users' access to Projects and Teams, you can follow the steps listed in our Configure User Restrictions article.
Assign a User to a Project and Team
- Log in to VanillaSoft as an Admin.
- Select Users from the top menu.
- Open the Current Project dropdown and select the desired Project.
- Open the Team dropdown and select the desired Team.
- Once done, click Save.
The User has now been assigned to a Project and Team. For these settings to take effect, the User must log out and back into VanillaSoft or refresh their page.
