Automated SMS Drip for Web Leads
Vanillasoft now supports automatically triggering an SMS drip campaign the moment a new web lead enters the system. Previously, this required manual action from an agent. With this update, eligible accounts can have the first message go out immediately, without anyone needing to lift a finger.
Once enabled, an SMS drip campaign kicks off automatically as soon as a web lead comes in, with no manual intervention needed.
Messages respect the contact's local time zone. Outreach only triggers between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM. If a lead arrives after 9:00 PM, the first message is held and sent at 9:00 AM the following morning.
Admins can configure whether the automation applies to new contacts, existing contacts, or both, directly from the Incoming Web Lead settings. For more information on setting up incoming web leads, see the How to Set Up Incoming Web Leads article.
- On the caller side, users can choose which SMS drip template to associate with new leads by setting the first step to trigger immediately under the Drip Triggers tab. For general information on SMS messaging in Vanillasoft, see the How to Send and Receive SMS Messages in Vanillasoft article.
Important Notes
This feature is disabled by default. Please contact Vanillasoft Support in order to activate it in your account.
Connection Windows for FTP Imports and Report Exports
Customers can now define specific time windows during which Vanillasoft is permitted to connect to their FTP site for imports and report exports. This means Vanillasoft's polling and delivery activity will only occur when the customer's FTP server is active, helping minimize unnecessary internet exposure and align with internal security requirements.
Admins can set allowed connection timeframes for both FTP Imports and report exports, giving teams more control over when data transfers happen.
- This is especially useful for organizations with scheduled maintenance windows or strict network security policies that limit when external systems can access their FTP server.
Latitude and Longitude Fields in the Public API
The Vanillasoft Public API now includes Latitude and Longitude fields on Contact endpoints (GET, POST, and PUT). This makes it easier for teams that rely on location data to keep their contact records accurate and consistent through API-based workflows.
Latitude and Longitude values are now available when retrieving or updating contacts through the API.
If coordinates have not yet been set for a contact, the fields will return null or blank to keep data consistent.
- Providing coordinates for a contact for the first time via the API will automatically enable the Lat/Long feature for that project.

- Resolved a data mapping error that was affecting the accuracy of Call Tracking Reports.
- Fixed an issue where custom fields were incorrectly defaulting to imported values in certain projects.
- Added the ability to reset the User Quota Time Period to None, which was previously unavailable due to a bug.
- Fixed an issue that could cause session timeouts to occur during active calls.
- Corrected date and time formatting within Contact Management filters.
