How to Move to the Next Contact
To ensure a smooth workflow and maintain accurate records, it is essential to understand how to move from one contact to another in VanillaSoft. This guide outlines the necessary steps and considerations for efficiently navigating between contacts.
Steps to Move to the Next Contact
-
Select a Result Code: To move from one contact to another, you must select a Result Code on the far-right of your screen. This action finalizes your current interaction and saves any comments or updates you have made to the contact's record. For information on how to configure Result Codes, refer to the Customizing Your Result Codes article.
-
Configure Quick Result Call List: The Quick Result Call list can be customized to fit your workflow. For detailed instructions, refer to the How to Configure the Quick Result Call List article.
Important Considerations
-
No Skipping Contacts: There is no way to skip a contact in VanillaSoft. You must select a Result Code to proceed to the next contact.
-
Progressive Dialing: Once you select a Result Code, the current contact will be replaced with the next best contact. If you have progressive dialing enabled, VanillaSoft might automatically start calling the next contact. For more information, see the Set Your Dialing Profile in VanillaSoft: Progressive, Preview, or Project Default article.
-
Saving Comments: Selecting the Result Code saves your comments and updates. Ensure all necessary actions are completed for the current contact before choosing a Result Code, as this will navigate you away from that contact.
To move to the next contact in VanillaSoft, selecting a Result Code is required. This action not only transitions you to the next contact but also ensures that all your comments and updates are saved. By following these steps and considering the important notes, you can efficiently manage your contacts and maintain accurate records.
